Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 April 2026
This is template content provided as a starting point. It must be reviewed and adapted by a qualified Nigerian lawyer before being relied upon. It does not constitute legal advice.
1. Who we are
"MarketRunners", "we", "us" refers to the operator of the MarketRunners service. "You" means the person using the service.
2. What we do
MarketRunners is a sourcing and delivery service. When you ask us to source groceries, we act as your agent in the market. We do not produce, manufacture, or warrant the goods themselves.
3. Quotes and orders
Quotes are indicative and based on prices available at the time of quoting. A binding order is created when you confirm the quote and complete payment. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion (for example if items become unavailable).
4. Substitutions
If an item is unavailable or significantly different in price from the quote, we will, where time allows, contact you to agree a substitution. If we cannot reach you, we may skip the item and refund the indicative cost of that line.
5. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. They may vary due to traffic, weather, market conditions, and other factors outside our reasonable control.
6. Cancellations and refunds
Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service for unlawful purposes, to harass our team or agents, or to misrepresent your identity, address, or order details.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against losses arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Nigeria, unless the parties agree to mediation or arbitration.
